When a man/woman is anxious he/she cannot pray with faith!

We were told by our precious Savior: “The very hairs on your head are all numbered: not a sparrow falleth to the ground without your Father.” It would bring a Holy calm over your mind, dear friend, if you were always to remember this.

It would so relieve your mind from anxiety, that you would be the better able to walk in patience, quiet, and cheerfulness as a true child of God. When a man/woman is anxious he/she cannot pray with faith; when he/she is troubled about the world, he/she cannot serve our Master, and his/her thoughts are serving oneself.

If you would seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,” all things would then be added unto you. You are meddling with Christ’s business, and neglecting your own when you fret about your lot and circumstances. You have been trying “providing” work and forgetting that it is yours to obey.

Be wise and attend to the obeying and let Christ manage the providing. Come and survey your Father’s storehouse, and ask whether He will let you starve while He has laid up so great an abundance in His garner? Look at His heart of mercy; see if that can ever prove unkind! Look at His inscrutable wisdom; see if that will ever be at fault.

Above all, look up to Jesus Christ your Intercessor, and ask yourself, while He pleads, can your Father deal ungraciously with you? If He remembers even the sparrows, will He forget one of the least of His poor children? “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain thee. He will never suffer the righteous to be move!”

“My soul, rest happy in thy low estate,

Not hope nor wish to be esteemed or great;

To take the impress of the Will Divine,

Be that thy glory, and those riches thine!”

WHEN ILLNESS STRIKES!

WHEN ILLNESS STRIKES!

When gloom falls over us the only way to get out from under it is to see the "Light" again, and that Light is the Countenance of our Lord, for without Him, our thoughts would become blacker than the darkest night and our minds would continually be stealing apace.

No power on earth or in heaven is greater than Almighty God, and so long as we are aware that we are "under the shadow of the wings of our Lord," we do not live in worry or in fear, but in faith.

We must always endeavor to get off the "train" of fear because that train carries luggage of all sorts, but the "train" of "faith" has no luggage, it always provide us with "Eagle's Wings" to fly not cry, to persevere not despair, to hope and not fear!

I have been down this road before and after this time has past, it may be I would have to travel on the road again, but by faith and trust in my God, "I shall never be moved!"

ETCHED IN MY HEART!

What has life come to?

Pain is always there,

Day and night goes by

In anguish I suffer,

A sacrificed life

In constant dark valleys,

Would I ever reach the top?

Or, has life passed me by!

The disposition on my face

Tells not the pain in my heart,

Mine tear filled eyes

As silence speaks to me,

Words cannot explain

The weariness of my mind,

The torment of my soul

As sadness overflows my cup,

Would there be a drought?

Who knows? I don’t!

Clinton to the rescue?

“[Reason is] a free activity of the mind, reaching conclusions under no compulsion save that of evidence!”

The American people voted the Republicans into controlling the House of Representatives come January 2011. In addition, they increased the number of Republican Senators thus making it much more difficult for President Obama to accomplish anything that is vitally needed, that would inure to the benefit of the large amount of Americans that are presently living in misery.

President Obama like former President Clinton and others are fully cognizant of this fact, hence the reason why they seek a compromise with the Republicans on the extension of the Bush Tax Cuts for another two years. If the Democrats in the House and Senate does not back the President and allow the Tax Cuts to expire on December 31, 2010, then everyone taxes would be increased as of January 2011. In this compromise bill unemployment would be extended for another thirteen (13) months and there are other benefits that would aid our struggling economy and keep us on the road to recovery.

For those that are promulgating “no compromise” they should tell that to the fourteen million people that are out of work; to the people whose unemployment benefits have expired and they still haven’t been able to find work, and the tens of millions that are hurting financially.

Sheriff G Ali

“From NBC's Athena Jones: With the fate of a tax deal reached with Republicans still uncertain, President Obama brought out one of his party's biggest guns to help drum up support for the agreement: former President Bill Clinton.

The current president called on his predecessor in part to help convince angry Democrats -- especially in the House of Representatives -- to pull together to vote for a bill he believes will help spur economic growth and job creation and without which the economic recovery could falter.

"I thought, given the fact that he presided over as good an economy as we've seen in our lifetimes, that it might be useful for him to share some of his thoughts," Obama said in introducing. Clinton.

Clinton's surprise appearance in the White House briefing room after a closed door meeting with the president was the latest salvo in a massive, week-long, multimedia blitz by the White House urging passage of the bill.

Officials have used television interviews, the Internet, speeches, and phone calls to press the plan.

"The agreement, taken as a whole, is I believe the best bipartisan agreement we can reach to help the largest number of Americans and to maximize the chances that the economic recovery will accelerate and create more jobs and to minimize chances that it will slip back," Clinton said, later adding that if he were in office right now, he would do what Obama has done.

Under the plan -- which has angered many Democrats, especially in the House -- the Bush-era tax rates would be extended for two years for people at all income levels and unemployment insurance would be extended for 13 months. The deal includes a one-year 2 percent reduction in payroll taxes, an extension of certain tax credits for working families and students and other tax incentives to support business expansion.”

Open your Gifts!

“He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all — how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”
(Romans 8:32, NIV)

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning and seeing a pile of presents under the tree, but never opening them. Imagine that your friends and family spent a lot of money on you, buying you things you need and desire but could never afford. Imagine that you even know what was inside those packages, but just decided to let them sit under the tree day in and day out, year after year. After all, now you have what you’ve always dreamed of. You own whatever is in those boxes. If anyone asked, you’d say, “Yes, I have that.” But it wouldn’t do you any good because you would never be able to use those gifts unless you took the time to unwrap those packages.

Friend, it’s the same way with God. He wants you to have an abundant life. His gifts are all right there for you wrapped up in the Word of God. You “open” His gift by meditating on His Word, obeying His commands and declaring it out of your mouth.

Today, I encourage you to open your gifts! Don’t let a single present sit “under the tree” any longer. Jesus paid a precious price so you could have both eternal life and abundant life. Unwrap your gifts and live in His fullness today!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name today I receive every good and perfect promise You have for me. I choose to take a step of faith to activate Your Word in my life. Teach me, by Your Spirit, to walk and live according to Your precepts. Amen

Cancer, courage, hope and love – “Elizabeth Edwards” final days!

Elizabeth Edwards, the embattled wife of former Sen. John Edwards, has posted what many are interpreting as a goodbye message to her Facebook page. The 61-year-old Edwards -- who separated from her husband in the wake of revelations of his infidelity -- has been battling breast cancer since 2004. It's been reported recently that the cancer had spread to her liver.

According to a statement sent out today by the Edwards family, her doctors have advised that "further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive." A source close to the Edwards family told CBS bluntly, "she is dying" and would probably pass in the coming weeks, if not days.

Writing on her Face book page that "the days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered," Edwards expressed gratitude for the love and support she's received during her years in the public eye.

"You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces -- my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope," she wrote. "These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined... It isn't possible to put into words the love and gratitude I feel to everyone who has and continues to support and inspire me every day. To you I simply say: you know."

NBC's Jeff Rossen reports that Edwards is "comfortable" at home in North Carolina surrounded by friends and family, including her estranged husband.

Elizabeth Edwards, I prayed for you!

“PAIN”

Pain breaks not the calm of the sweet twilight of age, for strength made perfect in weakness bears up with patience under it all. Ripe fruits of choice experience are gathered as the rare repast of life’s evening, and the soul prepares itself for rest.

The Lord’s people shall also enjoy light in the hour of death. Unbelief laments; the shadows fall, the night is coming, existence is ending. Ah no, crieth faith, the night is far spent, the true day is at hand. Light is come, the light of immortality, the light of a Father’s countenance. Gather up thy feet in thy bed; see the waiting bands of spirits!

Angeles waft thee away. Farewell, beloved one, thou art gone, thou wavest thine hand. Ah, now it is light. The pearly gates are opened; the golden streets shine in the jasper light. We cover our eyes, but thou beholdest the unseen, adieu, beloved, thou hast light at even-tide, such as we have not yet! AMEN!

GOD’S PLAN!

The darkest hour has drawn nigh

But I shall never question why,

God’s plan is never straight forward

Forever he gives our just reward

This rocky mountain is hard to climb

Deserted by friends somewhat unkind,

A solitary walk on glass and fire

God’s light and faith is my attire

Holding His hand in implicit trust

Wavering never, until I’m dust

Surrendering mind, spirit and soul

My beautiful Lord keeps me whole

A rainbow of hope is on its way

Miracles happen every day,

In my path I see His light

It’s forever bright!

Recognize What You Have!

“So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him”
(1 Samuel 17:50, NIV)

So often we focus on what we don’t have, how big our obstacles are, and how bad the economy is. You may say “ I don’t have the connections. I’ve got this problem, but I don’t have anybody to help me. I’ve got this dream, but I don’t have the resources.” No, here is what I’ve learned; everything you need to fulfill your destiny is within reach. God will always use something that’s close to you. It may not look extraordinary, but you have what it takes to fulfill your destiny.

When David faced the giant, Goliath, all he had was a slingshot and five stones. It looked ordinary. He could have thought, “I’m not going to face Goliath. That would be foolish. I don’t have a chance.” No, David knew that with God on his side, those ordinary stones would be exactly what he needed. Sure enough, David defeated Goliath and made history.

Today, remember, victory isn’t about what you have, it’s about God’s anointing on what you have. With God on your side, all things are possible! Focus on Him and what He can do in your life because He has extraordinary things in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for equipping me for my success and victory in this life. Help me to clearly see the opportunities, connections and resources You have ordained for me. I trust that with You, all things are possible. Amen.

MAKE ROOM, MORE GOOD THINGS FOR YOU!

I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new”
(Leviticus 26:9–10, NIV)

God wants to bless you and multiply you. He wants to increase you above and beyond what you could ever ask, think or imagine. But sometimes, we fill our lives with so much that we simply don’t have room to receive all that God wants to give us. People fill their lives with good things, noteworthy obligations and impressive accomplishments. But “good” can be the enemy of “best.” We have to take the time to evaluate what we have in our hands and be willing to move some things out in order to make room for the new thing God has for us.

Today, take some time to evaluate your life. Be open to what God wants to do in and through you. If your hands are full, maybe it’s time to use what you have to bless other people. Don’t let holding on to yesterday keep you from God’s best. Instead, make room because He has abundant blessings in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, today I open my hands and my heart to You. I choose to release anything spiritually, physically or emotionally that would keep me from Your best. Search my heart, God, and show me where I need to make adjustments to make room for You, I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Farewell, Auntie! I will see you on the other side of Jordan!

One of the great joys I can attest to in this life is the fact that I got to meet you, even though I was 49 years of age at the time we first met. My meeting you was on account of my Mom who insisted that I visit you because as she stated on numerous occasions, “you were one of the few people that were there for her in her time of need,” when she had recently married your brother, my Dad.

With all my heart; with all my soul and my mind, I am so very happy that I have had the opportunity to know you over the short but wonderful past ten years. When ever I called, most of the time I always made certain to say hello to you, and I am sure there were times when you weren’t feeling well, but you were always gracious to me, and for that, I thank you with all my heart.

Being in a coma and then waking up and seeing the things I saw, I can say that I don’t think but that I “know,” that real life begins subsequent to the mortal body dying, and it is with that knowledge, faith and hope “I shall see your face again,” for;

THE WORST BETRAYAL IS WHEN IT COMES FROM A LOVED ONE!

The propensity of a bad action becomes more significant when it comes from a loved one or a friend. In the Book of Obadiah 1:11 “Even thou was one of them.” Brotherly kindness was due from Edom to Israel in the time of need, but instead thereof, the men of Esau made common cause with Israel’s foes. Special stress in the sentence before us is laid upon the word “thou; as when Caesar cried out “Et tu Brutus,” when he found out that his most trusted friend was one of his assassin................open the link to read more;

Sarah Palin: Psycho with a pen!

Sarah Palin’s Book, “America by Heart: Reflections on family, faith and flag,” equals the “Opportunist Imaginary Mouse-Hunter,” espousing “political right-wing extremism and religious fanaticism” into insatiable narcissistic poisonous deluge, is a “brainless psychopath,” that has and is feeding “read-meat” to the “brain-dead human Ostriches” whose heads have and are in the sand, without pause.

If you are one of the followers of Mrs. Palin and likes her as a person that is one thing, however, if you find yourself engrossed in what she is advocating, then you should question your own sanity, because you may be a member of the “Palin-Cult” that also sees “Russia from your back-yard.”

Though my statements may seem harsh, indulge me to dissect the title of Palin’s book;

America by heart: Whose heart? Mrs. Palin doesn’t have one!

Family: Mrs. Palin’s concupiscible avarice for attention, power, revenge and mammon, she has prostituted husband, children, grandchild and everyone that she sees as an obstacle to her imbecility, that is a duplicitous means to a duplicitous end.

Faith: Faith in what or in whom? I am fallible and imperfect, but if Mrs. Palin’s faith was in God, I contend she couldn’t possibly be advocating the hate, anger, the inconspicuous racism and capriciousness she continuously promulgates!

Flag: During the Primary and into the Mid-Term Elections, Mrs. Palin’s absentia endorsement for the mad-man that was going to burn the Quran that would have jeopardized our Soldiers, to the “nut-cases” she endorsed like Joe Miller who wanted to build a Berlin Wall to resolve our Immigration problem, and Sharon Angle who advocated an armed insurrection if the Republicans did not win one or both Houses of congress, these types of grandiose delusion bares no witness of “patriotism.”

Having witnessed what has become of a man that I admired all my life, Senator John McCain, subsequent to his loss of the 2008 President Election and his Basilisk Vice President Nominee ostentatious contagion, barking at the Paschal Lamb entwined with Lion’s girth, I say to myself, America, you did well in your Presidential choice in 2008!

George Sr., George Jr., Neil and Jeb Bush!

This is why the Republicans are so determined to undermine the Financial Reform Bill.

Saint Reagan salad days that mushroomed the national debt from 930 Billion Dollars to 2.2 Trillion Dollars also deregulated the Savings & Loan Association in the 80’s and created one of the largest financial fraud on the American Tax Payers.

It is no wonder that the Republicans are so hell bent on reversing any accountability to Banks and Big Business that is a vital part of the Financial Reform Bill.

In the early 1980s, President Reagan's regulatory changes took place that gave the Savings & Loan industry new powers and for the first time in history measures were taken to increase the profitability of the Savings & Loan at the expense of promoting home ownership.

The Savings & Loan scandal was the largest theft in the history of the world and US tax payers are who was robbed. The problems occurred in the Savings and Loan industry as they relate to theft because the industry was deregulated under the Reagan/Bush administration and restrictions were eased on the industry so much, that abuse and misuse of funds became easy, rampant, and went unchecked.

Additional facts on the Savings and Loan Scandal!

The many ways in which the Bush family played into the Savings and Loan scandal involved not only many members of the Bush family but also many other politicians that are still in office and some of them were part of the Bush Jr. administration. Jeb Bush, George Bush Sr., and his son Neil Bush have all been implicated in the Savings and Loan Scandal, which cost American tax payers over $1.4 TRILLION dollars (note that this was about one quarter of our national debt at the time)

When Vice President George Bush finally announced that there was a Savings and Loan Crisis to the world, the Reagan/Bush administration worked to cover up the Savings and Loan problems by reducing the number and depth of examinations required of the Savings & Loan Association as well as attacking political opponents who were sounding early alarms about the Savings & Loan industry.

Industry insiders were aware of significant Savings & Loan problems as early 1986 that they felt would require a bailout. This information was kept from the media until after George W.H. Bush had won the 1988 elections.

Jeb Bush defaulted on a $4.56 million loan from Broward Federal Savings in Sunrise, Florida. After federal regulators closed the Savings & Loan, the office building that Jeb used the $4.56 million to finance was reappraised by the regulators at $500,000, which Bush and his partners paid. The taxpayers had to pay back the remaining 4 million plus dollars.

Neil Bush was the most widely targeted member of the Bush family by the press in the scandal. Neil became director of Silverado Savings and Loan at the age of 30 in 1985. Three years later the institution was belly up at a cost of $1.6 billion for tax payers to bail out.

The basic actions of Neil Bush in the S&L scandal are as follows:

Neil received a $100,000 "loan" from Ken Good, of Good International, with no obligation to pay any of the money back. Good was a large shareholder in JNB Explorations, Neil Bush's oil-exploration company. Neil failed to disclose this conflict-of-interest when loans were given to Good from Silverado, because the money was to be used in joint venture with his own JNB. This was in essence giving himself a loan from Silverado through a third party.

Neil then helped Silverado S&L approve Good International for a $900,000 line of credit. Good defaulted on a total $32 million in loans from Silverado. During this time Neil Bush did not disclose that $3 million of the $32 million that Good International was defaulting on, was actually for investment in JNB, his own company.

Good International subsequently raised Neil Bush's JNB salary from $75,000 to $125,000 and granted him a $22,500 bonus. Neil Bush maintained that he did not see how this constituted a conflict of interest. Neil approved $106 million in Silverado loans to another JNB investor, Bill Walters. Neil also never formally disclosed his relationship with Walters and Walters also defaulted on his loans, all $106 million.

Neil Bush was charged with criminal wrongdoing in the case and ended up paying $50,000 to settle out of court. The chief of Silverado S&L was sentenced to 3.5 years in jail for pleading guilty to $8.7 million in theft. (Keep in mind that you can get more jail time for holding up a gas station for $50.)

It should also be noted that shortly after the news broke of Neil Bush’s involvement in the Savings & Loan scandal hit the press his father, George Bush Sr., announced the Desert Storm campaign in Iraq, which subsequently had the result of making Neil’s name quickly fade from the headlines. In addition, during Neil Bush's divorce proceeding in 2003 were exposing more backroom Bush dealings, America was once again bombarded with war propaganda for Operation Iraq Freedom.

With all of this, one would think that the American people would have awaken from their bad dream by now, but considering what just transpired in the Mid-Term Election, I am afraid, lots of Americans are still sound asleep!

Advice to Speaker to be, John Boehner!

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/11/22/for-speaker-to-be-role-models-to-avoid/?hp

In the interest of the American People, America and the World, and although I do not agree with Mr. Boehner on almost everything, I do believe in Webster’s definition of Democracy – “to respect others even when you disagree with them,” and as such, I would like Mr. Boehner to be a successful Speaker of the House.

In order for Mr. Boehner to accomplish that objective he would have to realize that our greatest strength lies in our “humility,” and that our greatest downfall is our “insatiable arrogance.”

If Mr. Boehner's actions is based on what is morally right rather than what is politically expedient, he could and perhaps would be a very effective Speaker of the House, however, should he choose the road of avarice for power, mammon and the likes, his tenure would be as short lived as that of former Speakers, Newt Gingrich and Bob Livingston. It was their self-righteousness, arrogance and avarice that left them “Politically scarred and disdained,” to this day!

May Mr. Boehner seek the Grace of God for the wisdom he needs and realize that he can be one of the greatest Speaker’s of the House, by realizing that men/women are elevated to highest level by being of sincere service to others.

THE JACKASSES THAT CONSTANLY BRAYS!

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/17/opinion/17buffett.html?src=fbmain

People more often than not are always complaining about the Government and the Politicians who always seek reelection, they too who spend their life in Government, are always complaining about Government!

But the truth of the matter is that “only the Federal Government is capable of rescuing us from falling into the abyss,” hence I commend you Mr. Warren Buffet on your insightful editorial.

Former President Bush who is no fan of mine was brave and bold and did the right thing in creating TARP, and his successor President Obama who continued TARP; they really haven’t gotten the credit they deserve.

The Draconian-Misfits who ran the “Anti-Obama” right wing campaign in the November Mid-Term election, they are completely without shame and wholly morally bankrupt. Without the financial injection of the large amount of funds that Obama pumped into the financial system, we would have been like Russia when the Soviet Union Collapsed, hence it is because of Obama’s actions, we are “still” number one in the world.

The Jackasses that “constantly brays” (John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and others) about the size of the national debt when they are the ones who took a 5.0 trillion dollar surplus in 2001 at which time our national debt was 5.7 trillion dollars and eight years later, January 20th 2009, left us staring at a 10.4 trillion debt and our entire financial system on the verge of collapse, their duplicity combined with stupidity of the people who restored them into office, that is our real tragedy!

Pariahs of our Society!

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/18/us/18rulings.html?hp

Like the man who nominated him, the imbecility of The Chief Justice and Former President George W. Bush, both of them should be in an Institution for the “mentally challenged!”

Their capriciousness in their decision making process have literally turned our Country “upside-down.” So long as Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito are in the majority, their decisions would always be most of the time, “politically charged rather than constitutionally sound!”

It is true; we are the company we keep! Junior Bush Appointed Roberts and Alito, Papa Bush appointed that sorry excuse for an assistant Justice, Thomas, and Scalia was appointed by Saint Regan during the salad days, who mushroomed the national debt from 930 billion dollars to 2.2 trillion dollars!

These Sons of Ktie Elder are not Justices; they are the Pariahs of our Society

Sheriff G Ali

Our American Ineptitude!

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi deserves the honor she was given to become the Minority House Leader when the new Congress convenes in January 2011.

As much as the Republicans, Tea Party and some democrats demonized her during the run up to the Mid-Term election, I admire her for her courage since becoming Speaker of the House and her unwavering support of President Obama’s agenda.

President Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader of the Senate, Harry Reid, they deserve most of the credit for the enactments of all of the “Landmark Legislations that were implemented.”

Many of the American people who seem to despise these three people, they are either to dumb to realize the great benefits that would inure to our Country, or they are overly intoxicated with “religious fanaticism, and or, are extreme conservatives.”

It is amazing as to how these same critics are in such a paroxysm, seeing Sarah Palin as the Virgo Intacta! THE QUEEN BEE leading the fracas of “crazies” is Sarah Palin, the imaginary Moose Hunter who use metaphors for reality, a person when caught using words that does not exist, justifies it by exclaiming “Shakespeare” made up words, a person whose only political experience is the half term she served as Governor of Alaska and then jumped off the cliff, a “radical” person with no real intelligence or insight, but yet has a following – tells you much about the American Psyche!

Astonishing isn’t it! How “no brains attract the brainless! Sad, exceedingly sad because the good hearted American people are paying a steep price at the expense of the “conservatives” which = “the crazies” in American Society!

Having idiots pay money to listen to Mrs. Palin spew narcissistic poisonous deluge does not qualify her or anyone to be President!

Former President, George W. Bush’s truth in his book – “Decision Points,” reveals the sick, demented, dark and dangerous mind;

Of, Senator Mitch McConnell! Page 355, Chapter 12 tells the story:

In September of 2006, Senator Mitch McConnell went to President George W. Bush for a private meeting. McConnell told Bush “that the Republican Party was in trouble and they could lose control of both Houses of Congress.” McConnell told Bush “that he should bring some troops home from Iraq which may help the Republicans retain control of the Congress.” Understand, Mitch McConnell wasn’t asking the President to do this out of any concern for the good of America or anything noble, this request was for “pure Political reasons.”

In an amazing moment of courage, President George W. Bush told the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell – “that he was not going to reduce the troops but reinforce the troop strength, because he did not send the troops into Iraq to win an Election, he sent them their to win a war.”

Like many, to this day I believe it was a total blunder on Mr. Bush’s part to go to war with Iraq, for nothing good has come out of that very misguided policy, but as much as I am a critic of Mr. Bush on so many levels, at least in this case, President Bush made a most courageous decision, and I applaud him for that.

See the Editorial as written in The Courier Journal, Louisville, Kentucky of this account!

“George W. Bush got a lot wrong in his administration, but he certainly did figure out Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.

In his new memoir, Decision Points, the former president tells of a meeting he held in September 2006 with Mr. McConnell, then the Republican whip in the Senate. The occupation of Iraq was going horribly, American and Iraqi casualties were rising sharply, costs had mushroomed into the hundreds of billions of dollars, and Iraq was teetering on the brink of full-scale sectarian civil war. Mr. McConnell was concerned, and he gave the president his advice.

But why was he concerned? It wasn't because of bloodshed, destruction, a hemorrhaging budget or a slide toward disaster. He was fearful that the morass in Iraq would cause the Republican Party to take a beating in the approaching mid-term elections. And what was his advice? He urged the president to “bring some troops home from Iraq” to lessen the political risks, Mr. Bush writes.

This incident, which Sen. McConnell's office has not denied, shines brightly on the contemptible hypocrisy and obsessive partisanship that have come to mark the senator's time in office.

At the time that Sen. McConnell was privately advising Mr. Bush to reduce troop levels in Iraq, he was elsewhere excoriating congressional Democrats who had urged the same thing. “The Democrat[ic] leadership finally agrees on something — unfortunately it's retreat,” Sen. McConnell had said in a statement on Sept. 5, 2006, about a Democratic letter to Mr. Bush appealing for cuts in troop levels. Sen. McConnell, who publicly was a stout defender of the war and Mr. Bush's conduct of the conflict, accused the Democrats of advocating a position that would endanger Americans and leave Iraqis at the mercy of al-Qaida.

Unless he is prepared to call a former president of his own party a liar, Mr. McConnell has a choice. He can admit that he did not actually believe the Iraq mission was vital to American security, regardless of what he said at the time. Or he can explain why the fortunes of the Republican Party are of greater importance than the safety of the United States.

Mr. Bush did not take Sen. McConnell's advice. Indeed, after the election he increased American troop strength in the so-called “surge.” The former president presumably recounts the 2006 meeting to show that he placed a higher priority on success in Iraq than on political victory.

As usual, Sen. McConnell's political instincts were right. The Republicans did lose control of both houses of Congress to the Democrats in the November 2006 election. In Louisville, the war's unpopularity helped John Yarmuth unseat five-term Republican Rep. Anne Northup in the 3rd Congressional District.

But the public has a right to expect its leaders to pursue loftier goals than partisan success. When voters hear Sen. McConnell these days — at a time of continuing economic hardship — say that Republicans' top priority must be to limit President Obama to a single term, they should ask themselves: Why does he place greater value on that purely political goal than on American citizens' well-being?”

Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas are perhaps, fruits that fell from the same tree, when it comes to “war-mongering!”

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/10/world/middleeast/10jerusalem.html?_r=1&nl=todaysheadlines&emc=a1

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticism of The United States for faulting the Israeli Government continued “Settlement Housing Project” in the West Bank that is perpetuating the violence, reflects the lack of consideration on the part of Mr. Netanyahu and his Government, for the only “true and unwavering” ally, Israel has in the free world.

Looking back at former Presidents, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and now the sitting President, Barack Obama, efforts to realize a peaceful solution to Israel forty-three year occupation, and the continued failure of any meaningful polices, is self-evident that Israel’s internecine policies is a detriment to The United States, especially in our ongoing struggle in trying to contain the out of control terrorism problem.

This hypocrisy is also embedded in the American Media. The New York Time that has been on this present obstacle with daily articles, they too, are guilty of duplicity. The New York Times like so many other Media Outlets never permits comments from their readers, especially where it involves Israel.

Ted Turner, Founder of CNN gave ONE BILLION DOLLARS to the United Nations and shortly thereafter, he was critical of Israel for their treatment and occupation of the Palestinian People, landed him it dark waters from most of the American Media. The amazing fact about Ted Turner is that he is of Jewish heritage, but had the morale compass to distinguish right from wrong!

As I have stated before and as I reiterate now, “America” should always stand with Israel in their defense, but it is about high time we tighten the purse strings of the THREE BILLION DOLLARS we give to Israel annually, so that they would use their influence and good will, to resolve the issue with the two State solution, for the Israeli and the Palestinian people.

An amicable solution of the Israeli/Palestinian issue would go a long way in aiding The United States in combating terrorism! If Israel is truly our friend and reciprocated as we do to them, then they would stand with us and do what is right. Until and unless Israel takes a step in the right direction with this sensitive matter, I would have to say that the Israeli Government, not the Israeli people, are using us and abusing us at the same time.

Who is China to complain?

Together we aspire, together we achieve, united we stand, divided we fall!

Unless and until people truly realize the degree and depth the economic collapse around the world were, they would continue to be a shallow, self-conceited and self-righteous “noise maker!”

The entire world, save that of England and a handful of countries, sit around totally dependent on The United States to be the “back-bone” for everyone, be it economics, people’s rights, fighting the boogieman – “world terrorism,” and every aspect of this very troubled world.

Espousing the problems in the world is easy, finding a solution is the bigger mountain to climb, hence, rather than complain, China and other countries should make some meaningful attempt to put forth solutions, not just in their own interest but the interest of the world, and then, perhaps, just perhaps, we would extricate ourselves from the affixation to the “madness” in which the world evolves!

ISRAEL HAS NO CONSIDERATION FOR OUR PREDICAMENT!

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/10/world/middleeast/10jerusalem.html?hp

Every Israeli Prime Minister for decades have burdened America with their “wantonness” of erecting settlements that have literally caused the break down in any breakthrough as it pertains to Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian people.

I am all for America’s firm stand in protecting Israel, but it is incomprehensible for Israel to even try to justify in any manner whatsoever, that “FORTY-THREE YEARS” of occupation can be overlooked.

We in the United States are facing surmountable challenges on all fronts, especially dealing with the terrorism issues that are costing us in the lost lives of our dedicated Soldiers and are hindering our financial stability. To create some form of sanity we must try to get the Arab Countries on board in a meaningful manner, but this is not possible when Israel continues to just take us for granted, using our money to expand settlements that have always been the “spade” in any cohesive, coherent and amicable settlement between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Israel is the largest recipient of America’s foreign aid, THREE BILLION DOLLARS ANNUALLY.” It is high time that we tighten the “purse” strings in order to cause Israel to be concerned about us, like we are about them!

In this life, “you can’t have your cake and eat it too!
