CNN Church plans Quran-burning event

In this report by CNN some of the comments on Face Book reflect the respectfulness and thoughtfulness of others and utter ignorance of some, hiding behind “free-speech.”

For me, Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God the Son, but I know my Lord would not want me to participate in this madness!

We have more than a hundred thousand soldiers in Afghanistan and many more in other countries, fighting and dying everyday to protect our way of life, and I wonder if the people who thought up this idea of “burning the Quran,” even thought for one second about the adverse effect it would have on our Soldiers! That essentially in a metaphoric sense is that they are going to be throwing jet fuel on a burning building, and that burning building are our Soldiers!

Free-Will and Freedom of Speech are inalienable gifts afforded us and as such, we should use both respectfully and wisely. Every day the word “Democracy” is espoused millions of times, but I wonder, just wonder, how many people even know the true meaning of the word. Merriam Webster says that “Democracy means – “to respect others even when you disagree with them.”

The action of burning the Quran is how people separate themselves from Almighty God! God does not need you to defend Him, He is Omnipotent! If you are going to be a part of "saving souls" you are sure going about it the wrong way.

Jesus said: "Love thy neighbor as you love yourself." Can you look deep into your soul and say without equivocation that God inspired you to do this? Putting fire to what others believe is condemning them! “Jesus also said: “Judge not lest ye be judged, for by the measure you judge, it should be measured back unto you!”

Rather than engage in this phantasmagoric rationale and internecine ideas, why don’t you “get down on your knees and pray for the people you are condemning by this vulgar action!” But first you should ask forgiveness for profaning the name of Lord.

People often doubt what you say but they always believe what you do, and what you are doing is wrong, morally and spiritually wrong! For there is no wrong way to do right and no right way to do wrong!

OVERTURNING THE 14TH AMENDMENT – LINDSEY GRAHAM, SENATOR!

“[a]ll persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” In other words, Graham wants to end the practice of granting citizenship to the children born on U.S. soil.

“I may introduce a constitutional amendment that changes the rules if you have a child here,” Graham said during an interview with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. “Birthright citizenship I think is a mistake, that we should change our Constitution and say if you come here illegally and you have a child, that child’s automatically not a citizen.”

“I’m a practical guy, but when you go forward, I don’t want 20 million more 20 years from now,” he said. “I want to be fair. I want to be humane. We need immigration policy, but it should be on our terms, not someone else’s. I don’t know how to fix it all. But I do know what makes people mad; that 12 million people came here and there seems to be no system to deal with stopping 20 million 20 years from now.”

America, in the upcoming Mid-Term elections, put these people back in power and I promise you; “they will take us backwards – 100 years!” Mr. Graham used the word “humane,” but I wonder, just wonder; “what is humane about what he is advocating?”

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, and it seems self evident that “using children as a means to an end; is very much a godless act!”

Take a good hard look at “insanity spinning out of control; fear being touted as noble; inhumanity being espoused for justice, and the worse part in all of this is that people are buying into this madness!”

I think that the Republicans and some of the Democrats in congress, and some in The Tea Party and the State of Arizona, are “insulting” the American People over this Immigration matter.

I am yet to “see” one Republican agree that we should have a “tamper-proof” National Card so that Employers can be held accountable when hiring anyone. The Republicans argument is that we already have Drivers License in every State. Wow! What an IQ it must have taken to come up with that thought!

The Republicans and some of the Democrats in Congress and some in the Tea Party, their phantasmagoric rationales and internecine ideas of promulgating “their bifurcated policies,” that they know cannot work, is not being done due to their lack of intelligence, on the contrary, it is that they are too intelligent for the “wrong reason.”

They bitch about the Illegal Immigrants on one hand, but they do not want to really resolve the “actual” problem. Most people that enter the United States, they go to America for one main reason, and that reason is to find a job and live the better life. But, despite their noble intentions, they are breaking the law!

On the other hand they are being helped by the Politicians who want to protect cheap labor for big business. Likewise, some of the Employers who strive for cheap labor, they don’t’ want an ID Proof Card that would make them responsible to be fined or go to prison or both, for hiring undocumented workers, so they fill the pockets of the Politicians and they all laugh all the way to the bank, whilst the uninformed public shout and scream at each other, for or against reform!

Wake up America from your “metaphoric coma” and know this; when the screaming is done during the day, all of these Politicians, they go to their lavish Restaurants and exotic Cocktail Lounges and they plan how to continue to scheme, cheat and lie to you. Stop seeing yourselves as Republicans, Democrats or Independents, see yourself for what you are, “good hearted Americans,” and only in that capacity would you come to the realization that if there is going to be any material change that would inure to America and the American People, it would have to start with you!

So, what does these Republicans, Democrats and those that drink the “spiked” Tea in the Tea Party do, they get themselves on National Television and complain that it is Obama’s fault that the illegal immigrants are overflowing the United States.

President Bush and John McCain who had good intentions about fixing this problem, they got no real support from any of their Republican colleagues, instead, they got scorned. Now, Bush is no longer President and McCain lost the Presidency and he has joined with the “crazies” advocating that “shameless scam” that they call “Arizona Immigration Law!”

Greater Than the Past

"The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," says the LORD Almighty. "And in this place I will grant peace…" (Haggai 2:9, NIV)

God wants to amaze you with His goodness! We are living in a day where God is increasing His favor. Maybe you have seen God's goodness to a certain degree. In reality, you haven't seen anything yet! God has favor in your future that will supersede anything that you've seen in the past.

The Scripture talks about how the glory of the latter day will be greater than the glory of the former day. That means what God did for your parents or grandparents, He's going to surpass in your generation. The blessing and favor of past generations was good, but we serve a God of increase! He has greater things in store for your future!

Today, I encourage you to get your hopes up. I encourage you to enlarge your vision. Be expecting God to bring opportunities across your path. Be expecting to meet the right people and get the right breaks. Prepare your heart and mind to receive the increase and blessing God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for being the God of increase! I trust that You have great things in store for my future. I surrender every area of my mind, will and emotions as I wait on You. I pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being

Disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

Thanks to Jehue Gordon, the Trinidad and Tobago flag was raised and "Forged from the Love of Liberty" was played at the Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium, in Moncton, Canada, on Friday.
Gordon triumphed in the IAAF World Junior Championship men's 400 metres hurdles final.

IN THE HEAT OF LIFE CARES AND SCORCHING TRIALS!

The streams of living water which flow from Jerusalem are not dried up by the parching heats in the sultry midsummer any more than they were frozen by the cold winds of blustering winter.

Rejoice, O my soul; that I am spared to testify of the faithfulness of the Lord. The seasons change and I change, but my Lord abides evermore the same, and the streams of His love are as deep, as broad, and as full as ever.

The heats of business and life cares and scorching trials make me need the cooling influences of the river of His grace; I may go at once and drink to the full from the inexhaustible fountain, for in summer and in winter it pours froth its flood.

The upper springs are never scanty, and blessed be the name of the Lord, the nether springs cannot fail either. Elijah found Cherith dried up, but Jehovah was still the same God of providence. Job said his brethren were like deceitful brooks, but he found his God an overflowing river of consolation. The Nile is the great confidence of Egypt, but its floods are variable; our Lord is evermore the same.

By turning the course of the Euphrates, Cyrus took the city of Babylon, but no power, human or infernal, can divert the current of divine grace. The tracks of ancient rivers have been found all dry and desolate, but the streams which take their rise on the mountains of divine sovereignty and infinite love shall ever be full to the brim.

Generations melt away, but the course of grace is unaltered. The river of God may sing with greater truth than the brook in the poem;

“Men may come, and men may go,

But I go on for ever.”

How happy is my soul to be led beside such still waters! Never wander to other streams, lest I hear my Lord’s rebuke, “What hast thou to do in the way of Egypt to drink of the muddy river?”

ANGER AND YOU!

ANGER AND YOU!

Anger is not always necessarily sinful, but it has such a tendency to run wild that whenever it displays itself, we should be quick to question its character, with this enquiry, “Does it do me well to be angry?” It may be we can answer yes, “YES,” Very frequently anger is the madman’s/madwoman’s firebrand, but sometimes it is Elijah’s fire from heaven.

Someone told Mr. Jay that grace was often grafted on a crab-stump. “Yes,” said he, “but the fruit will not be crabs.” We must not make natural infirmity an excuse for anger, but we must fly to the cross and pray the Lord to crucify our tempers, and renew us in gentleness and meekness after His own image. [Vengeance is mine said the Lord])

If you want to measure your closeness or distance from God Almighty, you do not need anyone but yourself to help you with the spiritual mathematics, you can do it yourself. Simply put!

When someone does you wrong, I mean really wrong, or they say things about you that not only you know that it isn’t true, but you are sure the person knows that what they are prorogating is false, or when someone curses you to your face, “if you become angry, bitter, unforgiving and wish the person bad,” you are a long way from your God.

However, if on the other hand you can look at that person and even before they ask, you forgive them and most essentially, you say a kind word to them and beyond anything, you “pray” for that person, then you know you are in the bosom of God, cradled with His love, His forgiveness and His peace that surpasses the understanding of man!

With that measure of love and with the help of God, we can all help to make this world a better place, reaching out to one person at a time. Some people say that if God is so omnipotent He should snap his finger and fix the world! That may be so, but in order for God to do that, He would have to revoke “our free will” that He gave to us. And the God I know, He never breaks His promises and neither does He break His word. If God Almighty ever breaks His word, the world that hangeth on nothing, would crumble into tiny particles!

Man fell from grace through one man, Adam, and man was given a choice to be redeemed through one man, Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is also God the Son!

Know Your Limitations

"If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be"
(1 Corinthians 12: 17-18, NIV).

In the New Testament, John was baptizing a crowd of people and drawing a lot of attention. Somebody came up and said, "John, are you the Christ or should we keep looking?" Without missing a beat John said, "No, I am not the Messiah."

See, John knew what he was, but he also knew what he was not. It's just as important to know what you're not because if you don't realize your limitations, you'll get drawn into areas that may look impressive and may feed your ego, but they are outside of your gifting and calling; outside of what God anointed you to do. Anytime you go outside of your limitations, it will be a constant struggle. Don't let that be you! Instead, stay focused on what you're good at. Follow peace in your heart and know your limitations because God has created you just the way He wants you to be!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

“My God, My Lord and My Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for choosing me. I ask that You help me to know my limitations. Help me to know my place in the body of Christ so that I can bring glory and honor to You. I pray in the name of Jesus.”

BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE!

BE THE BEST YOU, THAT GOD MADE YOU TO BE!

"…Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…"
(Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJ).

It's easy to be tempted to go through life competing with everyone around us. When we see someone who's more talented, better looking or has more gifts, instead of running our race and being comfortable with who we are, oftentimes we feel inferior and think, "I've got to catch up to them." The problem with this unhealthy competition is that it's a never-ending cycle.

There will always be someone ahead of us. But, it's a very freeing thing when you realize, "I'm not competing with you. I don't have to have as big a house as my neighbor to feel good about myself. I don't have to keep up with my co-worker. I don't have to be a certain size. No, I understand that I'm not in competition with my friend, my neighbor or my co-worker. Instead, I'm going to be the best me that I can possibly be." Friend, that's an attitude God can work with. When you focus on being who God made you to be, that's when you'll rise up higher and position yourself for every spiritual blessing He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, I humbly come to You giving You all that I am. I choose to keep my eyes on You and allow You to work in my heart and mind. I declare that I am free from competition today. I pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

PREJUDICES AND RACISM!

“Until justice is blind to color, until education is unaware of race, until opportunity is unconcerned with the color of men’s skin, emancipation will be a proclamation but not a fact.” Lyndon B. Johnson, President of the United States 1963-1968.

I think we have an opportunity to, “once and for all,” vent our prejudices until we individually and collectively come to realize that prejudice is the child of ignorance. As was stated before; “prejudice, put theologically, is one of man’s neurotic and perverted expressions of his will to be God.”

The mark of a man is how he treats a person who can be of no possible help to him, for all people smile in the same language. Blessed is he who has learned to admire but not envy, to follow but not imitate, to praise but not flatter, and to lead but not manipulate.

Prejudices are often carefully taught, and once established they are strengthened by superstitions, old tales and lies; “for the essential corruption of racial discrimination is not that it is supported by lies but that people believe the lies.”

So, let us remove the stains of prejudices and racism and rid ourselves of these self-inflicted wounds. Perhaps, just perhaps, you may be thinking, well, the situation is as bad as I have ever seen, and if you think you really have no where to turn, remember what one of America’s greatest leaders said;

“I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I have nowhere else to go.” Abraham Lincoln.

PRESIDENT OBAMA - SHIRLEY SHERROD

PRESIDENT BARCK OBAMA:

MR. PRSIDENT, “DO WHAT IS MORALLY RIGHT RATHER THAN WHAT IS POLITICALLY SAFE AND EXPEDIENT, IN THE MATTER OF MRS. SHIRLEY SHERROD!”

President Obama and his administration are allowing the “talking heads” at Fox News and the political hacks that are advising him to walk on “egg shells,” whenever these demons permeate the “race issue!”

Mr. President, you are 50% white and 50% African American, but see not yourself as African American or White, see yourself as a man, not better than others, but just different! God is impartial to all of His children, even when we make mistakes willfully or do wrong willfully, His love remains unchanged!

“Who told you that the winter of thy discomfort would proceed from frost to frost, from snow, and ice, and hail, to deeper snow, and yet more heavy tempest of despair? Know you not that day follows night; that floods come after ebb; that spring and summer succeed winder? Hope you then! Hope you ever! For God fails thee not. Do you not know that thy God loves you in the midst of all this? Mountains, when in darkness hidden, are real as in day, and God’s love is as true to you now as it was in thy brightest moments!”

It is shameful what Andrew Brietbart, Fox News and the other Television and Print Media did to Mrs. Shirley Sherrod. However, what is even worst is the “cover up” by your White House claiming that the White House hadn’t anything to do with the “force firing” of an innocent and noble person.

Mr. President, the only “honest” person in this whole escapade is Mrs. Shirley Sherrod. She unequivocally stated that on Tuesday July 21^st 2010, the Deputy Secretary at the United States Department of Agriculture Sheryl Cook called her three times while she was driving back to her office. Mrs. Sherrod stated that when she received the third call from Mrs. Cook, she was asked to pull over to the side of the road and tender her resignation via her Blackberry Phone, for which she complied. (How cruel and inhumane?)

Mrs. Sherrod also stated that Mrs. Cook told her that she was being pressured by the White House to have her, Mrs. Sherrod resign, because she, Mrs. Sherrod was going to be on the Glen Beck program on Fox news. Have you thought about how you and your administration caved in to a “raving lunatic” that expounds so much hate that he could not tell the difference between “love and hate,” even if it choked him to death!

I think it is fair to say that Fox News is pernicious. It is also fair to say that your administration acted on emotion rather than obtaining the facts versus the forty seconds video whereby Mrs. Sherrod speech was totally manipulated and distorted.

But Mr. President, it is now more than twenty four hours since the egregious machinations against Mrs. Sherrod was proven to be “totally wrong,” and since that time your Secretary at the USDA Tom Vilsack held a news conference explaining how wrong he was by terminating Mrs. Sherrod and that he did apologize to her.

In addition your White House spoke person Robert Gibbs during Wednesday’s news briefing said that Mrs. Sherrod was badly treated and he would apologize to Mrs. Sherrod on behalf of your administration.

Mr. President, you and the political hacks that are so busy in helping you to keep your job by winning another term in 2012, are actually destroying any chances for you to have a second term. Mr. President, “wake-up, stand-up, snap-out of the metaphoric coma that you are in” and be the man that sixty five million people propelled into the Presidency, and issue a Public apology to Mrs. Shirley Sherrod and accept “full responsibility” for the inexcusable actions by you and your administration.

The American people, your friends and supporters and even your foes, they would respect you for doing what is morally right, rather than what you have done so far, just for political safety and expediency.

DO NOT CONDEMN - LINDSAY LOHAN!

“Better be a sinner than a hypocrite.”

I do not condone Lindsay Lohan’s own shortcomings, but this is a young woman who really had no guidance from the failed parents that brought her into the world.

I read so many of the self-righteous comments that it makes me ill! For those that may not know, Lindsay starred in her first film at the age of 12 and she did exceedingly well. She became the “provider” to parents that were too busy spending the child’s money to provide any guidance to her.

I am not condemning anyone but I am making a factual statement! Her Dad was a notorious alcoholic that dismantled his marriage and he ended up incarcerated. Her Mother’s wantonness continues to this day. Imagine the plight of this 24 year old young woman whose own Mother as recent as July 20, 2010 was asking for $50,000.00 for any media outlet that would allow her to come on their show and talk about her daughter’s incarceration.

Lindsay made a public statement that she did not want her father to be no where near the Courthouse when she turned herself in on Tuesday. Nevertheless, he came anyway looking for the Television Cameras who was already ordered by the Judge to stop their madness.

Lindsay is no different than so many of the child actors and actresses that becomes the “bread provider” and are surrounded by “leeches;” that sucked the very blood out of these kids. Does any one know what it is to give and give and give without any reciprocation whatsoever! Imagine, your very own blood relatives taking and taking and taking and never even wondering or asking about your welfare.

I am not in the entertainment business but I know what it is to “have the blood sucked out of you and no one ever being concerned about what you feel or don’t feel! I know about this from personal experience but this is not the forum and neither do I want to discuss my own life here, for that is in the past and this statement is about Lindsay.

I have a good idea about what this young woman must be feeling and with all my heart, “I wish her all that is good in this life.” Perhaps, just perhaps the two weeks of isolated incarceration and the ninety days of rehab would help her to turn her life around. For it is in our solitude and silence we find ourselves and we find that “oneness” with God!

Lindsay; “may the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He cause His face to shine upon you and keep you in perfect peace!”
