FORGIVE THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED YOU!

“All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:16, NIV)

Did you know that God has already written out the story of your life? He’s written out plans for your good, plans to prosper you, plans for peace. That doesn’t mean that you won’t go through negative situations. It means that God will use everything you go through to move you forward toward that good plan.

When things happen that we don’t understand, it’s easy to think, “Why did this happen? Why did this friend betray me? Why did this company lay me off? Why didn’t I get that promotion?” But, you can’t let the things you don’t understand keep you stuck on the same page in the story of your life. You have to decide to turn the page so that you can see the victory waiting for you in the next chapter.

If you are facing a difficulty today, know that God’s plan is to turn it around and use it for your good. The story of your life isn’t over! Keep moving forward, keep believing, keep hoping, keep forgiving because your days are written out for good, and it’s time to turn the page and see the blessing He has in store for your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, today I humbly come to You giving thanks for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I trust that Your plan for me is good, and I choose to turn the page on the past by choosing Your ways. I forgive and release those who have wronged me so I can move forward in the next chapter You have for me, this I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

NATO Not Planning to Interfere in Libya!

Obama is “pussy-footing” around while people are being shot down in Libya!

Perhaps Frederick Douglas had a premonition when he penned:

America is false to the past, false to the present, and solemnly binds herself to be false to the future.”

The world is “pussy-footing” around while people are being shot down in Libya! Totally unbelievable, that The United States, Europe and Governments from almost all corners of the world, “are allowing genocide in the 21st Century.”

Anders Fogh Rasmussens, this sorry excuse for NATO’S Secretary-General, says “the Western Military Alliance will not intervene in the Libyan conflict.” If that was the position he took, why the hell did he have to even open his “brain-less trap,” that further buttresses the deranged Regime of Moammar Gaddafi to use brutal force against the Libyan people.

The only courage expressed thus far came from the French President Nocolas Sarkozy, when he called on Wednesday for the European Union to immediately adopt a set of sanctions against Libya, saying the “International Community cannot stand idly by in the face of these massive human rights violations.”

I agree, this is not just an American problem – “it is a problem that involves the whole world, but yet not a single voice coming out of China, India, the Arab States, and when it comes to the west, “we are more hypocritical than hypocrisy itself!”

Obama has Mrs. Clinton carrying his water because he is so hell-bent on “his image,” as “Mr. Peace-Maker!”

“Even the Washington Post has begun to notice that the White House seems oddly passive in the Libyan crisis. By this time in the crisis timeline with Egypt, Barack Obama had already demanded a “transition” in governance from the nominal US ally, Hosni Mubarak. Last night, (February 23, 2011) however, not only did Obama not call for a “transition,” he couldn’t even bring himself to say the name Moammar Gaddafi:

Why, then, did Obama give an address at all? Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had already covered that ground in public statements on behalf of the administration. The announcement of a presidential address on the crisis in Libya raised expectations that the US had decided to offer something more substantive on the situation, perhaps new sanctions or a demand that Libya keep its air force on the ground. Instead, Obama couldn’t even say Gaddafi’s name in scolding the government of Libya, as if that somehow was a significant distinction in a totalitarian government.”

Why I singled out “America?”

Simple; because we are always espousing democracy and are always pretending to care about people, when in truth and in fact, we do nothing at all whenever we have no monetary interest. Just look back at 1991 when George W.H. Bush called on the Iraqis to rise up against their Dictator – Saddam Hussein, and when they did, he left them there to be brutalized. Then from 1992 to 1998 we looked at the Serbian conflict and allowed tens of thousands of people to be murdered, before President Clinton used NATO (1999) to resolve that problem. But at the same time, Present Clinton sat in the White House in the mid 90’s and witnessed the slaughter of over 800,000 Rwandans and Burundians.

The brutal “Dictator – Gadhafi” IS ON A KILLING SPREE….

CAIRO (AP) — The bodies of protesters shot to death by forces loyal to Moammar Gadhafi were left on the streets of a restive district in the Libyan capital Tuesday, an opposition activist and a resident said, while the longtime leader defiantly went on state TV to show he was still in charge.

The eruption of turmoil in the capital after a week of protests and bloody clashes in Libya's eastern cities has sharply escalated the challenge to Gadhafi. His security forces have unleashed the bloodiest crackdown of any Arab country against the wave of protests sweeping the region, which toppled leaders of Egypt and Tunisia.

The U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, citing sources inside the country, said Tuesday that at least 250 people have been killed and hundreds more injured in the crackdown on protesters in Libya. New York-based Human Rights Watch has put the toll at least 233 killed. The difficulty in getting information made obtaining a precise figure impossible.

MOAMMAR GADHAFI – THE BUTCHER!

Mom, it is ten years but I have never forgotten you, and I never will!

Mom, you were 20 years of age in this photo, taken out of school by your father to marry a man you never met. His wife was deceased and he had five children, the youngest six months, the oldest seven years – 4 girls and 1 – boy. As you told me months before your death that the “boy” you did not bring into this world loved you more than any of the six children that you brought into the world. I know you were sad when your three sons (my brothers) died at the tender ages of 26, 34 and 46.

Mom, I did not really know you and just when I was getting to learn about you; who you were, what you thought, the disappointments in your life with hardships that were incomprehensible, you left. For ten years to date, O, how I wish everyday that you did not leave so abruptly, but God in His Wisdom, always knows best.

The 90 minutes telephone conversation we had one day before you died is etched in my heart and I “know;” it would be there all the days of my life. With all my heart, I do hope you are rejoicing with your three sons and the man you married, whom you did not know but came to love – “My Dad.”

Not bad Mom, a girl just 20 years of age raising five children that came with your marriage and then having six biological children, eleven in total. Mom, I did not realize until after your death, how “our lives,” mine and yours, are parallel in so many ways. I wrote this poem for you, weeks after your passing on February 20, 2001.

I love you Mom,

Sheriff G Ali

MY MOTHER'S SON

TO MY MOM, 1923-2001

My Mom whom I loved, I did not really know
It was destiny, that said, I must go,
I was sent to help others who needed me
That distant journey, my Mom I could not see

So for thirty years, my life was dismayed
God's mysteries, I finally returned to where I played,
In the last days of her sojourner's life
She told me she was my father's loving wife

Her goals and dreams she knew were never met
She assured me, she had no regret,
Her faith in God to go to worlds’ unknown
Was her assurance, she would never be alone

The next journey she knew, would have no tears
With confidence, she said; there were no fears,
So her amazing and most sudden death
Helped me to understand her the best

Though her life is surely over and done
Forever, I say, I love you, I love you, Mom...

A woman's face with nature's own hand….

A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted
Hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion;
A woman's gentle heart, but not acquainted
With shifting change, as is false women's fashion;
An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling,
Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth;
A man in hue, all 'hues' in his controlling,
Much steals men's eyes and women's souls amazeth.
And for a woman wert thou first created;
Till Nature, as she wrought thee, fell a-doting,
And by addition me of thee defeated,
By adding one thing to my purpose nothing.
But since she prick'd thee out for women's pleasure,
Mine be thy love and thy love's use their treasure.

Justice Clarence Thomas; haunted by his past and the present!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/15/us/politics/15thomas.html?scp=1&sq=Justice%20Clarence%20Thomas&st=cse

Justice Clarence Thomas should have never been confirmed to the United States Supreme court. Save that of former Senator Ted Kennedy, the only person in the Senate to stand up for Anita Hill and all of the other Senators capitulated and confirmed Thomas, despite what was self-evident; “Clarence Thomas wasn’t then or now, no Thurgood Marshall!”

At the present time if the Senators weren’t so “Politically Party Affiliated” they would remove Clarence Thomas, but they are like the worms they were then as they are today, and they would rather indulge in “self-interest” rather than the “interest of our country.”

Former President George Herbert Walker Bush (41st President) did good things in his personal life and for his country, but he surely erred when he nominated “Pariah Thomas” to become a United States Supreme Court Justice.

Love in Deed

“...Let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth...”

As a believer, we are the hands and feet of Jesus in this earth. God wants to bless people, and He wants to use you and me to do it! He wants to work through us to show His love and compassion and draw people to Himself.

Notice this verse tells us that love isn’t just about our words or thoughts; it’s about our actions. It’s about reaching out and meeting the needs of others. Sometimes, meeting a person’s need is as simple as sharing a smile, a hug or a word of encouragement. Sometimes it’s through material means. Can you pay for someone’s gas or groceries? Can you help them find a solution to a difficult situation? The Bible says that it’s His kindness that leads people to turn toward Him, and there are many ways to show the love of God.

Today, step out and show others what real love is. Every act of kindness is a seed that will produce a harvest in your own life in return. Let your love be in word and in deed and watch how God pours out His blessing in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father I pray in Jesus’ name! thank You for Your hand of blessing in my life; thank You for choosing to work through me today. I submit myself and my resources to You. Show me ways to be a blessing to others so that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory. Amen…..

Happy Valentine’s to you and your family,

God Bless, Love, Sheriff

NELSON MANDELA: GLOBAL ICON AND FATHER…..

FORSAKE ME NOT LORD!

http://www.sheriff-g-ali.com/writings/writingspiritualcat-forsake.html

Frequently we pray that God would not forsake us in the hour of trial and temptation, but we too much forget that we have the need to use this prayer at all times. There is no moment of our life, however holy, in which we can do without His constant upholding. Whether in light or in darkness, in communion or in temptation, we alike need the prayer, “Forsake me not, O Lord.” “Hold Thou me up, and I shall be safe.”

A little child, while learning to walk, always needs the nurse’s aid. The ship left by the pilot drifts at once from her course. We cannot do without continued aid from above; let it then be your prayer to-day, “Forsake me not. Father, forsake not Thy child, lest he fall by the hand of the enemy. Shepherd; forsake not Thy lamb, lest he wander from the safety of the fold. Great Husbandman, forsake not Thy plant, lest it wither and die. ‘Forsake me not, O Lord,’ now; and forsake me not at any moment of my life. Forsake me not in my joys, lest they absorb my heart. Forsake me not in my sorrows, lest I murmur against Thee.

Forsake me not in the day of my repentance, lest I lose the hope of pardon, and fall into despair; and forsake me not in the day of my strongest faith, lest faith degenerate into presumption. Forsake me not, for without Thee I am weak, but with Thee I am strong. Forsake me not, for my path is dangerous, and full of snares, and I cannot do without Thy guidance. The hen forsakes not her brood, do Thou then evermore cover me with Thy feathers, and permit me under Thy wings to find my refuge.

‘Be not far from me, O Lord, for trouble is near, for there is none to help.’ ‘Leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!’”

Be careful Mr. President, least Egypt becomes your “Waterloo!”

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/11/world/middleeast/11obama.html?_r=1

During 2010 I gave my unequivocal support to President Obama for the things that he got done, despite great odds. However, “all” American Presidents including President Obama, must be cautious but yet decisive, speak little, but meaningful, and never become entrapped in phantasmagoric rationales and internecine knee-jerk reactions, such as President Obama has found himself in the Egyptian crisis.

Mr. President, you are being very hypocritical by your continued statement that the future of Egypt must be determined by the Egyptian people. Well, the Egyptian people have for seventeen straight days braved every obstacle in seeking the resignation of Mr. Hosni Mubarak. Yet, you are doing the same thing that Mr. Mubarak is doing, trying to placate the people “with meaningless words.”

Mr. President, “people often doubt what you say but they always believe what you do,” and thus far, “your doings, parallels that of Mr. Mubarak. You promised us that you had what it takes in dealing with America’s problems and representing America to the world, as a strong but fair Nation that believes in the God-given “rights” of all people.

Be the man you claimed to be and say once and for all; “Mr. Hosni Mubarak, it is time you step down!” He may heed your words and then again he may not, but at least we can bridge a very important gap with the Moslem world, in that, they would see that we stand against the “subjugator” and with the “subjugated!”

OBAMA – CLINTON – MUBARAK “WALTZ”…….

hAs it turns out President Obama is no different than his predecessors. At the inception of the Egyptian Protest, he did the “WALTZ” with Secretary of State Clinton and when the pressure came down from the “other Middle-Eastern Dictators” – he “capitulated!”

You see people might think that this isn’t America’s business, but yes, it is! We financed Monster Mubarak with TWO BILLION TAX PAYER’S DOLLARS each year for the past 30 years. We knew then as we do today that he is a Dictator that has and continues to use brutality against his own people.

Indulge me here for a moment! Notice who President Mubarak anointed Vice President when the Protestors began to demand his removal! He Appointed Omar Suleiman.

Do you know why? Perhaps not, but Omar Suleiman was the architect in assisting our CIA in the “rendition” that was instituted subsequent to 9/11. Both Mubarak and Suleiman have “tons” of our dirty laundry and sure enough, Mubarak used “Black-Mail” in his appointment of Omar Suleiman’s appointment to be Egypt’s first Vice President.

In the final analysis when we do wrong, it may be days, weeks, years or even “decades,” but it comes back to haunt us, and such is the case with our present predicament with Egypt. However, we compound the “wrong” when we come face to face with it and continue on the same path expecting a different outcome!

This is reminiscent of former President George Hebert Walker Bush telling the Iraqis in 1991 to rise up and when they did, he turned tail and ran like a Coyote, leaving Saddam Hussein to “slaughter the people.”

May be it is high time that since our notion of “DEMOCRACY is nothing short of DECEPTIVENESS,” we should turn inwards for the “Skunks” we are, and stop telling the outside world about “freedom, free elections, peaceful demonstrations” and all of the other “Bull-S” that we promulgate.

IN WASHINGTON IT’S BUSINESS AS USUAL!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/07/world/middleeast/07diplo.html?hpw

After all the “big talk” by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama, Mrs. Clinton is singing a “different tune now!”

Mubarak is “buttressed” in holding on to “power” because like every other past administration prior to Obama’s, Washington has once more capitulated to Mubarak.

Mrs. Clinton's statement On Sunday February 7, 2011 that “Hasty removal of President Mubarak could create instability in Egypt” as quoted in the New York Times, is self-evident of the “two-faced” MONSTER the US Government has been and continues to be for the past 30 years.

What the “hell” was Mrs. Clinton thinking about in her remarks about “instability?” Are these people blind? It is because of Mubarak and his “MYRMIDONS” (Hench-men) that the disarray in Egypt exists, with those poor people sacrificing their very being for fourteen days and counting in their “rightful” protest for redress.

This is reminiscent of former President George Hebert Walker Bush telling the Iraqis in 1991 to rise up and when they did, he turned tail and ran like a Coyote, leaving Saddam Hussein to “slaughter the people.”

Maybe it is high time that since our notion of “DEMOCRACY is nothing short of DECEPTIVENESS,” we should turn inward for the “Skunks” we are, and stop telling the outside world about “freedom, free elections, peaceful demonstrations,” and all of the other “Bull-S” that we promulgate.

EGYPTIANS LIVING IN HELL FOR 13 DAYS AND COUNTING……

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/07/world/middleeast/07mubarak.html?hp

The protesters have to keep up the pressure because Hosni Mubarak will deceive them like he has over the past 30 years. With the Western Leaders which begins with the United States and Europe who have a vested interest in “Oil” first and anything thereafter, if the protest stops, Mubarak will reinforce his security and crush any subsequent revolt.

All of the “nonsense” that begins with President Obama that it is up to the Egyptian people to choose their destiny, well, Mr. President, “the people have chosen.” They have been living in “hell” for the past 13 days, braving brutality, hunger, sanitation, cold, heat and every imaginable discomfort and all you can say like your predecessors is; “It is up to the people of Egypt to determine whom they want to lead them!” (You know that saying we have in the West – “and you are full of it!”)

President Obama, I am surely disappointed in you because I really thought after you spoke in 2009 at the University of Cairo about DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM FOR ALL, and now this situation presented itself, I really, really, thought you were going to be a different kind of LEADER!

We in America should be ashamed of using the “word” DEMOCRACY,” for in the final analysis it has been and it seems like it will always be our conceited “self-interest.” When it comes to the Middle East, “DEMOCRACY” to the people of the Western world means that black substance that is horded out of the ground and is utilized at the rate of 95 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY worldwide. For us OIL is worth more than the lives of hundreds of millions of people. In 2009 we in the United States consumed 6.9 BILLION BARRELS.

One day sooner rather than later, we will wake up to the reality that the blood of the people that has been and continues to be sacrificed for “OIL,” isn’t worth it, but by then we would be more than a dollar short and decades late!

May God have mercy on all of us who contribute directly or indirectly to the suffering of others!

EGYPT’S LIBERATION….

EGYPT’S LIBERATION….

O people of Ancient Egypt

Your history is more than a script,

In your country’s conflict

Your Government was complicit

Great is your Nation

From human’s inception,

To the present Generation

Despite decades of frustration

Your prayers have reached the Heavens

You ate the bread with leaven,

This is your liberation

Welcome your redemption

Now, set aside your differences

Make way for your chances,

Circumvent your distances

Return to songs and dances

Hate really does blind

Leave the past behind,

Allow joy to usurp your sorrows

Keep faith for better tomorrows!

Better dead and martyred, than wounded and alive!”

Hosni “Pharaoh” Mubarak at 82 and sitting on his “Throne” for 30 years propped up by Western and Middle Eastern Powers, may have considered that at 82, it may be that he would be “Better dead and martyred, than wounded and alive!”

If that is really what Mr. Mubarak is contemplating, then, I think the Egyptian people may have to endure even more brutality than we “witnessed” on Wednesday February 2, 2011, but in the final analysis – “Mubarak will leave Egypt, die, or held to stand trail for the wrongs he has committed against his own people!” Can you imagine that because of “one” man’s arrogance, avarice and pride, an entire Nation is suffering!”

As far as it is possible to recall History, Egypt has 5,000 years of History and what a dynamic History it is. From “Rulers” who were absolutely “ruthless” and those like;

“Ramses II", who reigned for 67 years during the 19th dynasty of the 12th century BC, was known as "Ramses the Great". His glories surpassed all other Pharaohs, and Egypt reached an overwhelming state of prosperity during his reign. Not only is he known as one of Egypt's greatest warriors, but also as a peace-maker and for the monuments he left behind all over Egypt. He was the first king in history to sign a peace treaty with his enemies, the Hittites, ending long years of wars and hostility. The treaty can still be considered a conclusive model, even when applying today’s standards.”

I wonder why it is that Mr. Mubarak couldn't just take one page of Ramses 11 biography and apply it for the good of the Egyptian people over the past 30 years. Since he became President in 1981 subsequent to the assassination of Anwar Sadat, the lives of the Egyptian people took a downward turn and it is only due to their God-given right to “protest,” that a glimmer of hope exist.

Sometimes people make fun of the Bible and call the stories “mythical and funny,” but in truth and in fact if we were to consider this present moment, whereby Hosni Mubarak has pitted himself against the will of almost 80 million people, it is almost parallel to the time of Moses. In the Book of Exodus Pharaoh made NINE promises to Moses and broke everyone of them, and even when he allowed the people to go, subsequent to their departure, he again changed his mind and chased them all the way to the Red-Sea, where he and his soldiers all died.

I think for Mubarak the Red-Sea is not “water,” but a Sea of People whose anger wouldn’t be abated unless and until Mubarak leaves Egypt or dies! O my Lord! You certainly get the raw end of the deal when it has to be admitted that we are creatures of such an “infallible and perfect” Creator!

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES……

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVuWPXzkevY

Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way
To show her every day
That she's my only one
If my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance
To tell her how I feel
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way
To show her every day
That she's my only one
If my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes!

Lyrics by Vince Gill:

His stardom had just taken off and he was at a hotel in Holland New Years Eve. His daughter was just a few years old and it was the first time he was away from her, since she was born. He was pining about being away from his child and wrote this song for her. (Amazing, just amazing, how we love our children!}
